FAQ

1 .WHAT AMENITIES DO THE VILLAS HAVE?

ANSWER: All of our villas are fully equipped and feature an open-plan kitchen with everything needed for cooking, along with plenty of tableware. Each villa includes, for example, a wood-fired sauna, a built-in terrace hot tub, a fireplace, a private dock, a rowing boat, fast Wi-Fi, heating, and air conditioning. A detailed list of each villa’s amenities can be found in the individual villa description on our booking page.

2. DO THE VILLAS HAVE WIFI?

ANSWER: Yes, all villas offer fast Wi-Fi.

3. IS THERE A CANCELLATION POLICY FOR BOOKINGS?

ANSWER: Bookings are binding, so please ensure you have travel insurance, which should cover you in case of illness. However, if we are able to rent the villa to another guest, we will refund the amount received from that booking to the original customer.

4. ARE PETS ALLOWED AND ARE THERE VILLAS WHERE PETS HAVE NOT BEEN?

ANSWER: Pets are welcome by prior agreement at Villa Haavus, and small pets are allowed on the ground floor of the main building at Villa Airanne. Pets are not permitted at Villa Helylä, Villa Hympölä, or Villa Rantue.

5. WHERE ARE THE VILLAS LOCATED AND CAN YOU DRIVE DIRECTLY TO THEM?

ANSWER: The villas are located approximately 10–15 minutes from Jyväskylä in Vesanka, on the shore of Lake Vesankajärvi. You can drive directly to each villa. Detailed driving instructions will be provided before your arrival.

6. IS THERE PARKING AT THE VILLAS AND ARE THE ROADS CLEARED IN WINTER?

ANSWER: Yes, all villas have parking available, and the access road is regularly plowed during winter.

7. WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE VILLAS?

ANSWER: There are activities to suit every taste and every season. At the villa, you are also free to do nothing at all and simply enjoy the peace and surroundings. You can take part in a variety of activities such as hiking, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boating, rowing, hot tub bathing, cycling, kicksledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing. 8. WHEN CAN WE ARRIVE AND WHEN DO WE NEED TO LEAVE?

ANSWER: Check-in begins at 18:00 and check-out is by 14:00. If the villa is ready earlier, early arrival may be possible by prior agreement. Please always arrange this in advance, as maintenance work is carried out between guests and early arrival is not possible without prior arrangement.

9. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THERE IS A PROBLEM AT THE VILLA OR IF I HAVE QUESTIONS?

ANSWER: If you encounter any issues at the villa, please contact the owner, Mia-Riitta Niemi(+358 40 832 8523), immediately. We will do our best to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.

10. DO I NEED TO CLEAN THE VILLA BEFORE DEPARTURE?

ANSWER: You may clean the villa yourself (cleaning equipment and supplies are provided), or you can order a cleaning service for an additional fee when making your booking.

11. HOW DO I ACCESS THE VILLA?

ANSWER: All villas are equipped with YALE Linus smart locks (Villa Rantue uses YALE Doorman), allowing keyless entry. You will receive instructions and access details before your arrival. If you prefer not to use the smart lock during your stay, the villa can also be opened remotely and a traditional key will be provided.

12. CAN I ORDER BED LINENS, TOWELS, AND SAUNA SEAT COVERS FOR THE VILLA?

ANSWER: You can either bring your own bed linens, towels, and sauna seat covers, or you can order them ready-made and set up on the beds (49€/person).
